Elizabeth (Beth) Macy

M.S., CCC-SLP

Elizabeth (Beth) Macy grew up in Libertyville and currently lives in Mundelein. She graduated from Truman State University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in English and from the University of Illinois in 2013 with a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology. After working in the schools for ten years, Beth joined the team at PI in 2023. In her free time, she likes to garden, craft, read, exercise, and volunteer with the junior and senior high youth groups at her church.

Beth loved literature and language from a young age and started her degree in English without a plan for what to do with it. After considering law and teaching, her mom suggested speech pathology might be a good fit, and she was absolutely right. Beth loves spending each day helping kids find their voice, grow in their communication skills, and engage with the world around them. Her training includes courses in Simon Says myofunctional therapy, the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI) method, Meaningful Speech gestalts language processing, and the Talk Tools Sensory-Motor Feeding approach.
