Description: Early Intervention provides services for developmental delays, but some patients may have a medical component that needs to be addressed. This session will introduce you to a screening tool originally created by the IAOM (International Association of Orofacial Myology) and has been modified for the use of a speech language pathologist. Learn how to complete an airway and myofunctional screening for the birth to 3 population so that you may help your patient with appropriate referrals as needed. Participants will learn about oral resting posture, airway patency, oral structures, and be able to make appropriate referrals.
